Physiotherapy-Manual Therapy
With physiotherapy, the goal is to help you feel better and provide you with the tools you need to maintain and improve your physical health long-term.
Our Physiotherapists are licensed and have completed extensive post-graduate training. An initial assessment at the clinic starts with a detailed bio-mechanical examination where the real cause behind the symptoms is searched out.
CAMPT-Certified physiotherapists are Fellows of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy (FCAMPT) that have completed extensive post-graduate education and have attained internationally recognized qualifications in hands-on manipulative therapy. We provide focused treatment based on research-guided techniques that speed up patient recovery while educating them about their condition to reduce the risk of relapse.
Our physiotherapists will explain the findings and work with you to determine an appropriate treatment plan with your goals in mind. The treatment is conducted based on the information gathered through the initial assessment to treat the pain and improve the problem areas that lead to the pain.
Our assessment and treatments are one-on-one without the use of assistants. We use evidence-based manual therapy and focused exercise prescription to reverse the underlying issues behind the symptoms you are experiencing.
We also utilize various modalities such as acupuncture, dry needling, and ultrasound. We assess, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of orthopaedic conditions using our extensive educational background, knowledge of the best available evidence, and clinical experience.
Physiotherapy-Physio Pilates Exercise
Assessments are completed by Preya, Stacey & Anjali
IPW's Physio Pilates functions as a focused rehabilitation approach for conditions encompassed by the field of physiotherapy. The program highlights exercises that specifically target posture, core stability, balance, control, strength, flexibility, and breathing.
When incorporated alongside physiotherapy, the exercises within the Physio Pilates program play a crucial role in addressing a range of injuries. This method involves the active participation of both the body and mind, providing a challenge that, while not always simple, consistently offers enjoyment.
The process begins with a comprehensive assessment to identify specific problematic areas and a goal-oriented program that is customized to help alleviate the identified issues.

Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the insertion of thin, metal needles to stimulate specific points of the body that reach meridians. These stimulation points are called acupuncture points or acupoints. Traditional Chinese medicine holds that there are 365 commonly used acupuncture points on 20 meridians on the human body.
Typically, it takes 15 to 30 minutes of manipulating the needles in these acupuncture points and 30 to 60 minutes of retaining the needles. By doing so, it regulates the flow of qi throughout the body and restore health to the mind and body, thus balancing the yin and yang. The insertions of needles are manipulated either by the hand or by electrical stimulation, called electroacupuncture.
